Recently, there has been quite a bit of people favorting the stuff in our gallery. while we are glad you like the work, the original artists would like it more if you would comment and favorite the original. so please start doing that instead of faving the versions in our gallery.

So far so good, the club is doing ok. However I would like to see more people submitting! Once we get running a bit stronger we'll try to issue a new contest! Be sure to submit today!

I think for now we have enough admins to suffice. Thank you all for cooperating and taking an interest!

Hello all! *Elvandia here announcing the club's new contest! This contest will be a bit tricky for some and absolutely fun for others! This contest will entail the traits and characteristics of the appaloosa. Be it a close up of an appaloosa eye (sclera must be visible), a butt blanket or spots in general, striped hooves, mottled skin, or even the curiousity most of our appaloosa friends show. 2 entries will be allowed per person but if you chose to do 2, they cannot be of the same media. Example: You can have one photo and one graphite piece, not 2 photos or 2 graphite pieces. Have fun and enjoy!

Rules:
1) Must show Appaloosa characteristics and/or personality.
2) Can be any media you wish, even photography.
3) If you chose to do 2 entries, they must be different medias!
4) Of course, since this is an appaloosa club (we still love our other equine friends), no other horse breeds will be accepted.
5) Photomanips are allowed as long as they are distinctly different from their originals. That means just no simple cropping, color change, or light enhancement. EXAMPLE[link]
6) Finally, have fun and be as creative as you can!

Due Date: Sept. 30th! 2 days will be allowed to tally votes in the journal comments and please be responsible and do not vote for yourself. Also, I would like to see some more entries before the time lapse please! Votes will be tallied on the second of Oct, thus starting our newest contest for Halloween!

Prizes You choose the artist of your choice out of the committee.
1st Place: Get a full body drawing of your favorite horse with background and 50 pts
2nd Place: Get a full body drawing of your favorite horse, no background and 25 pts
3rd Place: Get a bust drawing of your favorite horse and 10 pts.
4th Place: Get your entry placed as the favored deviation for a week and get 5 pts.

Point system: Whoever has the most points at the end of this year will receieve a free drawing of choice from me *Elvandia! At the turn of the year, it will be every 3 months we will see who has the most points. For every submission you receive 2 points.

To submit, just note the club with the entry for the contest and entitle the note Contest Submission.

I really hope to see everyone to at least take an interest.
